Youth Ministry. These two words have so many images associated with them. For some of us younger people, it reminds us of our tramatic teenage years where we were forced to go to silly events that meant nothing to us. Others remember Youth Ministry with joy as they think about the great people they encountered and prayed with throughout these difficult years. Still others think of Youth Ministry and don't have anything to put with it, because they never experienced it growing up.
Regardless of what image you currently associate with Youth Ministry, we invite you to discover the joy that can come from helping our youth discover Jesus and His Truth and Love for each one of them!
Our current Youth Ministry program takes place on Sunday Nights at 7:00 pm for teens in 9-12th grade and on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month for teens in 6-8th grade. We use a variety of methods inculding Ydisciple small group studies, large group activities and youth nights, as well as bible studies to dive into our faith on a more personal level.
Please consider volunteering to teach, foster and mentor the Youth of our parish! Contact Jessica Herrman for more information.
“Genuine love … is demanding. But its beauty lies precisely in the demands it makes. Only those able to make demands on themselves in the name of love can then demand love from others.” - St. Pope John Paul II
