Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust currently awards two-year scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to recognize graduating high school seniors and second year college students from our parish for their participation in our Faith Formation program, youth ministry, and parish life.
The Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust was established in 1985 by Father Thomas Fahey, Sister Josephine Konrad, OLVM and Sister Rose Zita Rosonke, OLVM. The purpose of the Trust is to give college or trade school scholarships as an encouragement and reward for high school youth's participation in faith formation programs, youth activities and parish life. The trust currently provides a small scholarship for their first year of post secondary education. Through the generosity of parishioners, parish organizations, and the parish youth themselves, scholarships have been awarded to high school seniors every year since 1985.
As of July 31, 2024, the balance in the fund was $461,662.30 up from last July's balance of $380,162.66. We are striving to build a corpus of at least $600,000, to provide four-year scholarships. Once we reach this goal, we will utilize up to 5% of the corpus based upon a three-year rolling quarterly average for the scholarships. This will make the Trust self-funding, so we can then work to increase the size of the scholarships.
Thanks to your generosity, this year we awarded scholarships totaling $7,750.00 for six parish youth.
Please consider a gift to the Trust so that we can continue to build on the success of this program to encourage and reward our parish high school youth. Your gift not only brings hope to many, but enriches your own life. Please also remember the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust in your estate planning. The Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. Please also consider using the King Soopers Neighborhood Reward Gift Card Program to raise funds for scholarships.

The King Soopers Neighborhood Rewards Program is changing and being made easier. The new King Soopers Community Rewards Program utilizes your King Soopers Loyalty Card. By registering your Loyalty Card, and identifying the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust as your charity, each time you then use the Loyalty Card, the Scholarship Trust will receive credit toward a quarterly donation from King Soopers. The amount received by Trust is based upon the percentage of spending of those who have chosen the Scholarship Trust to be their beneficiary as it relates to the total spending of all participating King Soopers Community Rewards beneficiary organizations. The more who sign up and shop at King Soopers with the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust as their beneficiary, the greater our donation will be.
To register your King Soopers Loyalty Card and to participate in the Community Rewards Program with the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust as your charity, follow these steps:
Step 1: Register your King Soopers Loyalty Card. (If your King Soopers Loyalty Cars is already registered go to Step 2.)
Step 2: Select the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust as your charity.
Thank you for your support of the Holy Trinity Youth Education Trust. You no longer need to use the King Soopers gift card. Once you use your remaining balance on that card you may discard it. Just swipe your Loyalty Card at the store checkout, or at the participating gas pumps.
