Preparation for marriage in our contemporary culture is of major pastoral importance and helps couples who utilize it to be more successful in marriage than those who do not. We desire to help you to form an intimate communion of life and love that will enable you to be witnesses of love to your children's children. No marriage is without struggle, but adequate preparation can assist you to persevere in faith and charity in order to know the joy and blessing of your covenant relationship.
There are four aspects to marriage preparation: 1) Remote preparation through preaching, catechesis, and social media; 2) Personal preparation when a couple approaches the Church to marry; 3) The fruitful liturgical celebration of marriage; and, 4) The support of the married couple to live out their covenant relationship.
